Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Syro ("Syro", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit this website or use the Syro sugar and mood tracker app for iOS (together, the "Service"). We are committed to collecting as little as we need and to being clear about what we do with it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is [legal entity name and registered address]. You can contact us at any time atsyroapp.pro@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
On this website
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages requested when your browser loads a page. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors.
- Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Messages you send us. If you email us (for example to ask for early access), we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply.
- No advertising or analytics cookies. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run advertising trackers.
In the Syro app
- Information you enter. Daily check-ins, logged cravings (such as time of day and what was happening), mood entries, planned treats, notes and your progress and streaks.
- Account information. [CONFIRM: describe whether the app uses accounts, e.g. email address or Sign in with Apple, or works without one.]
- Technical and diagnostic data. [CONFIRM: e.g. app version, device model, crash reports, and any analytics service used. Delete this line if none is collected.]
3. Health-related information
Information about your cravings, mood and eating habits can be considered health-related and therefore sensitive. We process it only to provide the features you use, such as showing your patterns and progress. We process it on the basis of your consent, which you give by entering it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the data or your account. We never sell it and never use it for advertising.
Syro is a self-awareness and habit tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
4. How we use information
- to provide, maintain and improve the Service and its features;
- to show you your own patterns, insights and progress;
- to respond to your messages and support requests;
- to keep the Service secure and prevent misuse;
- to meet our legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (EU / UK users)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent, for health-related information you enter in the app;
- Contract, to provide the Service you asked for;
- Legitimate interests, to secure and improve the Service and answer your messages;
- Legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service:
- Supabase, which hosts our database (including the content of the blog);
- Our website hosting provider, which serves this website;
- Apple, which distributes the app through the App Store (App Store listing) and handles purchases;
- Google, for the fonts used on this website, for email if you contact us through Gmail;
- [CONFIRM: add any analytics, crash-reporting or other provider you use in the app.]
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of users and of Syro.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep information
We keep app data for as long as you use the Service, and delete it when you delete it or your account, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. [CONFIRM: exact retention periods.]
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email syroapp.pro@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. If you live in California, you also have the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Syro is not intended for children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
This website links to our Instagram, TikTok and Facebook pages and to the App Store. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or on this website.
